Mid-Prairie travels to West Burlington- Notre Dame tonight for their final away game of the season.

The Golden Hawks are 5-2, while West Burlington- Notre Dame is 1-6.

The Golden Hawks continue to pound it out on the ground with 1077 yards and 14 touchdowns, while Reid Miller can still toss it over the top with 742 passing yards and five touchdowns.

West Burlington- Notre Dame likes to pass the ball, although they have better stats with the running game. Rushing they have 342 yards and seven touchdowns, while passing it they have 795 yards, three touchdowns and 17 interceptions, with a 40 percent pass completion.

Mid-Prairie head coach Pete Cavanagh said he’d like to see his run game come back alive in this game.

“We have to be able to run the football, in high school football, to win and advance in the playoffs you have to be balanced offensively, and we just couldn’t run the ball on Friday night,” Cavanagh said. “Our goal is to go back to the basics, play a physical brand of football, and then make plays in the passing game.”
