While it may be fall and the weather is getting cooler, southeast Iowa can still see severe weather as is predicted for this weekend.  National Weather Service meteorologist Dan Ferry says the area will usually see severe weather in the fall and the storms are similar to those in the spring.  He notes that fall storms tend to be associated with faster moving systems.

Ferry says the main time for the storms to occur this weekend is Saturday afternoon and evening with forecast models calling for strong winds and favorable conditions for tornadoes.
