Rainfall Saturday morning didn’t stop local Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts from Pack 242 in Washington from picking up food donations. Boy Scout Cooper Reed says he helped with the food drive to help kids who don’t have food to eat.
Along with the ten bags he picked up, Reed adds he enjoyed seeing the other donations being dropped off at Lincoln Elementary.
A total of 1,411 items were collected in all, which is about one-third of what is normally given. If someone would still like to donate food, they can be dropped off at Lending Hands in Washington until Friday.
