The 2012 Street Projects in Kalona are winding down. City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh says that the last of Hanson Asphalt’s contract work in the City was completed last Friday.

He adds that they will be back later this week to do patch work. All American Concrete will start preparing for a project on A Avenue west of the Sales Barn to 6th Street this week. The project involves removing the chip seal and replacing it with concrete.

Schabaugh shares the work being done on A Avenue is substantial and should be done in 2 to 3 weeks.
