A local library is looking for teens to join a group that helps make the library more teen friendly. The Kalona Public Library used their Teen Read Week earlier this month to promote their Teen Advisory Board. Library Director Ann Skaden says that those on the board suggest books and movies for the library to purchase and planning teen activities for the library.

Members also help with youth programs, bake sales and decorating. The group is open to any teenager in grades 7th through 12th.

To join or get more information contact the library and talk to Youth Services Librarian Erin Sehorn.
