A uniquely-shaped barn in Washington County has been relocated to the Washington County Fairgrounds. Nancy Adrian, Washington Chamber of Commerce Tourism Committee member says the round barn located just south of Wellman has been moved to the Fairgrounds. She says the barn had to be moved in pieces because of the expense of relocating power lines due to its size.
Adrian says the building will be put together on the Fairgrounds and should be ready to use by the Fair next summer.
The Chamber of Commerce Tourism Committee partnered with the Washington County Fair Board, Washington County Riverboat Foundation and Washington County Historical Society to move the 16-sided barn to the Fairgrounds recently.
