It was a area rivalry last night between WACO and WMU, and it was WACO who came out and got the big win.

The Warriors won 48-14 at home.

WACO tried to put WMU away in the first quarter, scoring 20 off an eight and six yard run by Tucker Janecek and a seven yard run by Tyler Ayers, but WMU would not be denied.

The Wolves marched right back in the second quarter and score 14 from a 22 yard run from Max Fricke and a 75 yard run from Connor Shellabarger.

WACO stopped WMU right there though, not letting them score again, and scoring once more before the half off a Ayers one yard run.

In the second half it was all WACO scoring off a four yard run from Janecek, and 52 yard run from Ayers and a 28 yard run from Dylan Carlson.

WACO plays New London next, while WMU plays Van Buren.
