The Washington Demons host Mt. Pleasant tonight for a rivalry game that has not been for a few years.

The Demons are 3-3 after a tough offensive day against Williamsburg last week.

They continue to pound the ball on the ground with 880 yards with 11 touchdowns, but will need to rely on Sebelius’s arm as well, as he has thrown one interception this year on a last second play on of the half, is completing over 60 percent of his passes and has four touchdowns.

Kyle Roder will also be back in play, but may only play defense and limited at that.

The Panthers are 2-4, and are a 50/50 pass/run team. They have four touchdowns through the air and seven interceptions, while they have just 215 yard on the ground and three touchdowns.

Head coach Randy Shrader isn’t taking any risks though, saying that his boys need to come prepared ready to score in the first quarter.

“We’ve got to get out of the chute, we have to get the wagon going right from the get go, we can’t get down 14-0 and then decide we’re going to play we have to come out with both of our guns loaded, full boar, pin our ears back and go,” Shrader said.

Washington and Mt. Pleasant play tonight at Case field with kickoff at 7:30, catch all of the action live on AM and FM KCII with pregame at 7, and kickoff at 7:30. The one to count on for today’s local sports coverage is AM and FM KCII.
