Columbus Junction ran at their home meet last night at the Mike Jay invitational and the girls finished second while the boys were fourth.

For the girls, they were led by Caitlin Chaney who finished fourth with a time of 18:20, while Taylor Hills was fifth with a time of 18:33. Other Wildcat scorers were Grace Chapman in 10th, Ashley Canny in 12th and Yvette Aguilar in 16th.

Mediapolis won the meet with 30 points, while Columbus Junction had 47.

For the boys, Efrain Barajas finished fourth overall with a time of 17:46, while Eli Sents was 10th with a time of 18:04. Other boy’s scorers were Josh Keller in 24th, Mitchell Roush in 33rd and Dalton Howell in 37th.

Wilton won the meet with 43 points, while the Wildcats had 108 points.

Columbus Junction runs at the Southeast Iowa Superconference meet next on Thursday in Wapello.
