After four years of work, the complete overhaul of a stretch of road in Louisa County is finished. According to Louisa County Engineer, Larry Roehl, X17 has been paved from Hwy 92 west of Columbus Junction to the unincorporated town of Gladwin.

Work on the road started when they replaced a bridge on the road  four years ago. Last year adjustments were made to the curbs to make the road safer and to increase the speed limit.

He says that the road was last paved in 1969 and was due for the overhaul, as it was considered one of the poorest stretches of road in the County.
