As we near Election Day, the deadline for turning in your absentee ballot is approaching quickly. According to Elections Clerk for Washington County, Sue Meeks, if you’ve requested an absentee ballot this year and you’d like it to count, you’ll need to have it post marked and in the mail by Monday.

She says you can get an absentee ballot online or you can pick one up at the Auditors office.
Meeks says absentee voting has been growing over the years. This year 4,624 people requested ballots. She adds that’s 1/3rd of the registered voters in the County.
