The Washington Demons girl’s basketball team will look to get back on the winning track tonight when they host Williamsburg.

The 2-1 Demons struggled with shooting all night against a physical Mid-Prairie team that left them scoring just 22 points.

The Demons were led by Johannah Vittetoe, this is her first game leading in scoring, and makes it the third game that a different player has led in scoring.

Williamsburg is 2-0 and has scored 52 points this season while shooting over 50 percent from the floor.

Demon head coach Phil Long says the key to tonight’s game, is simple basketball.

“[Our goal] is to be able to score points,” Long said. “I don’t worry about our defensive effort I know that will be there night in and night out, it’s a confidence thing now we have to see the ball go through the hole a few times, and once we see it go through whether you shot it or someone else it will build your confidence and we’ll go from there.”

Washington and Williamsburg play tonight at Washington at 8:00.
