Drivers Warned about White-tailed Deer Rut

With a number of car accidents involving deer in Henry County, the Sheriffs Office is offering a word of warning. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office this time of year is white-tailed deer breeding season in Iowa, commonly referred to as the rut. During this season deer become more active and mobile. They say while these accidents can be unavoidable, drivers should slow down and be aware of their surroundings to prevent mishaps.
