The Highland girl’s basketball team is in action tonight, as they take on Harmony.

Highland is 0-1 after losing to Lone Tree 59-43.

The Huskies are led by Chelsea Lampe with 12 points, and making 50 percent of her shots on the floor. Behind her is Kassie Vazquez with eight points and Samantha Dutton with six.

Harmony is 0-2 losing to both West Burlington and New London.

They’re led by freshmen Taylor Deiphus with nine points, followed by sophomore Tessa Story with six.

Head coach Jodi Fink says Highland will need to pressure Harmony into making mistakes.

“We’re going to have to put some pressure on them and creates some turnovers on them, and we’re going to have to go down there which is usually a bus ride for us and playing in a different gym, that’s going to be the difficult part for us,” Fink said, “They like to slow it down, and they’re going to play a zone defense against us and try to limit our possessions and limit our shots, so we have to try and cause some turnovers to get some extra shots and put some pressure on them.”
