IMS boy’s basketball was just a win away last year from winning the conference, but got their revenge against Lone Tree by beating them in the state playoffs, and are looking to make it make to Des Moines again this season.

IMS lost four seniors, but return their three top scorers from last year, in Chance Miller, Cameron Gingerich and Peyton Thompson, all of whom scored over 300 points.

The boys just started practice this week, and will see a tough start to their season, playing Lone Tree on Nov. 30, just the second game of the season. IMS won’t see Mediapolis for the first time until Dec. 21, but see Lone Tree for the second time on Jan. 11.

IMS will host Washington on Jan. 29, and play Mediapolis to wrap up their season on Feb. 5 with the SEISC shootout on Feb. 8.

IMS starts their season on Nov. 27 against Highland.
