IMS looks to right the ship tonight against Mediapolis after losing their first game to Wapello 48-21.

IMS is shooting 34.5 percent, but had 29 turnovers in the loss. They are led by Olivia Yutzy and Hannah Gingerich who both have six points on the year.

No. 5 Mediapolis is opening play against IMS tonight, but despite having not played a game, is ranked fifth in the preseason poll.

IMS head coach Aaron Gingerich said eliminating the post play that Mediapolis had last year against them will be the main goal.

“Last year they hurt us inside quite a bit, so I think one of the keys for us is fronting the post and trying to keep it out of there and seeing if we can get a lot ball pressure to make it harder for them to throw it in, and also getting some help side defense, that will be a big key for us tonight,” Gingerich said.

IMS and Mediapolis play tonight at IMS at 7:30.
