IMS played Iowa City Regina last night at the Mid-Prairie Jamboree, and struggled with the height difference.

Regina won 36-12, with four girls scoring five or over. Cammy Verducci scored five, Jordyn Lehman scored eight, Megan Fackler scored seven and Hannah Stein had six.

IMS had scoring from Olivia Yutzy who had seven points on the night.

IMS head coach Aaron Gingerich said he thought his team did well in the beginning of the game, before the size difference took over.

“Athletically it looked like we could hang in there for a while, and for the most part we got good shots and took care of the ball, so I think overall I felt pretty good about our performance,” Gingerich said. “ I know things got out of hand at the end, but I felt like we competed pretty hard, so I was proud of that.”
