Keota meets up with North Mahaska tonight for their first action this season.
The Eagles bring back Kelsi Sieren who scored 170 points last season.
North Mahaska has a win under their belt already, beating Belle Plaine last week 52-22.
Keota head coach Jenny Hobbs says North Mahaska’s guard play is struggling this year, and that pressure will help control the game in Keota’s favor.
“They’re going to be tough, but one thing that they do struggle with a little bit more because they graduated a lot of guards so they don’t like pressure,” Hobbs said. “They don’t handle the ball as well as they have in the past, and that is kind of our game we love to play tough man-to-man all over and press full court, so hopefully our pressure and our intensity will give them some problems.”
Keota and North Mahaska play tonight at North Mahaska at 6:00.
