The Iowa National Guard unit that has operated out of the Washington armory in the past is moving to Camp Dodge in Johnston, and a new unit will be moving in. The 134th Medical Ground Ambulance Company is being replaced by the 234th Company.

Iowa National Guard Sergeant Rob Radocevich says that new unit is also a medical group, but is larger and more diverse.  It includes doctors and physicians assistants.

More administrative work is needed before the new unit starts training at the Washington National Guard Readiness Center.
