This weekend a Mid-Prairie English teacher will make her directing debut with the first public performance of the school’s latest production. English teacher and Drama Director Katie Beary says this years fall play is Pollyanna. It revolves around an orphan and the positive changes she brings when she moves in with her mean aunt.

She shares that she chose this play because the size of the cast fit the amount of characters in the play and because she was already familiar with it due to the fact she played the lead in this same play her senior year in high school.

Beary says during practices the cast worked on allowing the audience to react, utilizing pauses and as she put it, getting the moment down. There will be performances at the High School tomorrow and Sunday at 7:30pm. Tickets can be reserved by calling the High School.
