A recently opened exhibit at a museum near Des Moines highlights the lives of notable Iowa veterans. At least one of them is from Washington.  Blaine Goff is one of the featured Iowans in the exhibit that honors military and civilian accomplishments of veterans.

Goff became the Chief of Patrol for the Iowa State Patrol in 1988.

The photographic exhibit at the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum in Johnston was put together by Grandview University Professor Bill Schaefer.  The museum also has military vehicles, aircraft, and equipment.  They are the only federally-recognized repository for military artifacts in the state of Iowa.
