The principal at Stewart Elementary School in Washington says that the school year has been going well so far.  Adam Miller told the Washington School Board last week that for parent teacher conferences, 90 percent of parents or guardians attended.  They have had good support from parent volunteers; 31 volunteers have been involved this year.  Miller says that the staff goals for are to have good parent and community engagement, create a positive school culture, school safety, and quality curriculum and assessment.
