As the family gathers for the Thanksgiving holiday, it may be a good time to assess the needs of older family members. Karen Heineman with Halcyon House in Washington says the holidays are a good time to get input from family members if there are concerns about a loved one.

She says there are a number of signs to look for in their lifestyle and behavior. Heineman says if they’re having trouble maintaining their home, preparing meals and doing laundry, it might be time to consider assisted living options.

Halcyon House offers two forms of care services: Assisted living apartments and memory support. For more information contact Karen at 653-8452
