For Veterans Day, one veteran’s story about serving in Korea during the 1950s gave a personal account of that war. The American Legion Post 29 had a ceremony Monday. After a prayer and 21-gun salute outside Blair House, the group went inside to hear from Korean War veteran Wayne Reighard.

He served as a cook in the Army’s 73rd Tank Battalion. Reighard told a group of a few dozen people about sleeping in a tent, preparing food out of cans, and living high in the mountains near the demilitarized zone. |
