Those involved in planning for the innovative calendar at WACO Secondary will be holding a public meeting today. Tom Ferguson is an English teacher at the school and member of the original planning committee that looked at the benefits of having a four day school week.
Ferguson says this meeting will give an update on the progress teachers have made on the enrichment side of the +1 day, which will be on Fridays. He says teachers will present their enrichment activities and there will also be information on internships and duel credit classes.
He notes the meeting will also allow those in the district to ask questions and make suggestions. The meeting is being held tonight in the WACO Secondary Library starting at 7.
