An effort to get people in the holiday spirit included special events, live music, and Christmas carolers on Friday in Washington.  The Washington Main Street Executive Director Sarah Sadrakula says their annual Twilight Shop and Stroll went well.  She says there are surveys out to business owners to find out more about how it went.

But from what she says she heard personally, the groups of shoppers included many people from outside Washington. Other upcoming holiday events include the Holiday Lighted Parade in downtown Washington on Friday.
