The Washington Demons girls Basketball team plays Ottumwa tonight.
The Demons are 1-0 after beating Eddyville-Blakesburg earlier this week.
Washington is led in scoring by Beth Dillon who had 13 points, but Dema Giardinio and Grace Redlinger are close behind both scoring nine.
Ottumwa lost their first game 48-31 to Fairfield.
Washington head coach Phil Long said turnovers are the biggest thing for, and against the Demons.
“We have to quit turning it over so much, even though we create a lot of turnovers, the pace of our play is causes us to steal it and then turn around and throw it right back again,” Long said. “So I had to implement a rule that if you had five turnovers, you’re coming out of the game and you’ve probably lost your bench for the rest of that game.”
Washington and Ottumwa will play tonight in Washington at 8:00.
