Columbus Junction came up short last night against WMU losing 39-33 in a battle of 1-0 teams.
WMU was only outscored in the third quarter 10-8, but outscored Columbus in the rest of the game.
The Wildcats were led by Martha Anaya with 16 points, with Caitlin Chaney and Kelsey Pretz both having six.
WMU had many players scoring points, with Cassie Kingery leading the way with nine, Alicia Escher and Erica Robinson both had eight, and Shelby Therme had six.
The Wolves improve to 2-0 in the conference and overall, while the Wildcats fall to 1-1.
WMU plays next on Saturday against West Liberty, while Columbus plays Tuesday against Mediapolis.
