The Big Red Radio will stop in Washington today for another food fill up. KCII will be at HyVee today from 10 to noon, picking up donations for the 10^th annual Caring Christmas food drive. Collected donations go to benefit the various food shelves located throughout southeast Iowa.

United Christian Baptist Church’s Kalona Food Pantry benefits from the food drive and serves those in the Mid-Prairie school district.

Chairperson of the food pantry Norma Wright says they’re open twice a month and each time they serve anywhere from 35 to 54 households.
