Last night a vehicle driving northbound on North 2nd Avenue struck the railroad overpass. At around 4:45 56 year old Thomas Sines of Ainsworth was driving a truck equipped with an Elevated Work Platform or cherry picker when he struck the overpass in Washington. The accident resulted in over $1500 in damage to the vehicle. C&E Railroad has been informed, although no structural damage was reported. The northbound lane was closed for about an hour.
