In about six weeks, downtown Washington residents will have a large dumpster for depositing recycling. The dumpster will be put in the alley behind the Washington Public Library.  The Washington City Council has also now amended their waste disposal contract with Luke’s Sanitation to include collecting from that dumpster.  It will cost the city 65 dollars each time the dumpster is cleared.  Luke’s will also be picking up cardboard there on a weekly basis at no additional charge.
