Washington County now has a hazard mitigation plan on file. After a public hearing at today’s Washington County Board meeting, the supervisors adopted the Washington County multi-jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan. The plans purpose is to decrease the damage done to property and the threat to residents in the event of a natural disaster. The plan also opens up opportunities for grant funding in future projects.
