The Washington Demons got the win last night over Durant 62-36.

Washington only let Durant score seven points in the first half, and never let up on the scoring themselves.

Lauren Kimball led the team in points with a career high 21, and the bench for Washington scored 31 points on the Demons way to having every girl on the varsity roster make the score sheet.

Head coach Phil Long said this was an all-around good game.

“We shot the ball extremely well, we had four three’s, and three different kids who hit them, and we didn’t go to the free throw line a lot, but we made a lot of layups based off of our offense on our backdoor cuts,” Long said. “I told the kids afterward that that was the best I’ve seen all year by all 12 kids.”

Washington plays again on Friday against Keokuk, and you can hear that game right here on AM and FM KCII and KCIIradio.com.
