The IMS girl’s team has had some struggles in the first half of their season, going 3-8.

IMS started their season with a three game losing streak, won one game, had two more loses, two more wins, and then another three game losing streak going into the break.

They are led by Olivia Yutzy with 151 points this season and 64 rebounds.

Head coach Aaron Gingerich said most of the break’s work has gone toward the offense.

“Right now we’re starting to add some motion offense, and really just teaching the kids the different cuts that can be made using the screens, and trying to do the little things a little better like rubbing shoulders on our cuts and misdirecting on our cuts,” Gingerich said. “Hopefully we’ll be able to take care some of those little things and starting cleaning up the offense a little bit.”

IMS plays L-M on Friday, and then a make-up game against Mediapolis on Saturday.
