Drought conditions are easing across southeast Iowa, but the same can’t be said about other parts of the state. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, during the month of November, the area of severe drought that covered more than 90% of the state earlier in the month has now moved out of the listening area and is covering around 68% of Iowa. Washington County is now in what’s considered a moderate drought, the least intense drought classification.
