Governor Terry Branstad is asking Iowans to take a moment to honor those who fell during the tragedy in Connecticut. Prompted by a proclamation issued by Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy, who called on his state to observe today as a day of mourning, Branstad asks that we observe a moment of silence at 9:30 this morning to remember those who died at Sandy Hook Elementary. Keota Superintendent Mark Schneider says they’d be making this observation, if they hadnt had a two hour delay. He says as a school administrator the shooting hit home.
