The Washington Noon Kiwanis group is hosting a blood drive this week.  The drive is at the United Presbyterian Church on Thursday.

The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center is the recipient of most blood drives in the area.  They are based out of Davenport, Iowa, but they collect blood from and serve in an area that includes eastern Iowa, Western Illinois, and some parts of Wisconsin and Missouri.  The non-profit organization has a service region that exceeds 4-million residents, and donors give more than 180-thousand donations each year.

Again, the blood drive is Thursday at the Washington United Presbyterian Church; it’s from 1:30 to 6:30.
