An apartment near downtown Washington has tested positive for methamphetamine. According to Washington Police Chief, Greg Goodman, apartment #3D in the building at 306 North Marion Avenue has tested positive due to someone manufacturing the drug inside the residence.

The contractor that specializes in this sort of testing indicated that the results are 50% to 90% above normal safe levels. The apartment is being evacuated and access will not be allowed.

As soon as its possible common areas of each floor will be tested, and if they test positive for methamphetamine, the entire building will be evacuated until proper cleanup can be done.
