Mid-Prairie continues that conference season tonight when they host Tipton tonight.

The Lady Golden Hawks fell to Iowa City Regina by just three on Friday and are looking to make things right.

Mid-Prairie is 2-2 while shooting an average of 35.5 percent from the floor, three point range and free throw line.

They are led by Mariah Swartzentruber with 39 points, with Erika Muprhy and Mallory McArtor behind her at 37 and 35 points this year.

Tipton is 1-4, and is shooting 35 percent from the floor, and 46.6 percent from the free throw line.

The Tigers are led by Becky Goerdt with 41 and Rachael Tischuk with 38.

Golden Hawk head coach Marc Pennington said Tipton will be gunning for them, and they need to play like they have a target on their back.

“The way we played last week, we’re going to have to play a heck of a lot better, and like I told the kids, everyone wants to beat you, you beat everyone last year, and that’s just the way it is, and you have a choice with that, you can gear up and play with that urgency or you can let them hang around and beat you, and that is what we’ve done the last two games,” Pennington said.
