Multiple agencies cooperated in the investigation and pursuit that led to the arrest of three people in Washington this week for manufacturing methamphetamine. Washington County Public Safety reports that several months of work preceded the arrests in downtown Washington for possessing an active meth lab in the vehicle.

The Washington-Louisa Drug Task Force, the Muscatine County Drug Task Force, and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement were all part of that investigation. Other agencies assisting include the Washington Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Johnson County Drug Task Force, and the Wayland Police Department.  Undercover work was also involved.

At the scene of the vehicle downtown, the Washington Fire Department and Washington County Ambulance assisted with the de-contamination process that included cleaning off suspects, the vehicle, and two dogs that were also in the car.
