Meteorologists are forecasting heavy snowfall and blizzard like conditions today. A blizzard warning continues through 6pm due to a storm system predicted to drop 5 to 15 inches of snow. The snow is predicted to start this morning and continue through the late afternoon. The heavy snowfall will be accompanied by very strong winds creating blizzard like conditions.

A snow emergency has been declared for the City of Washington and Maintenance and Construction Supervisor JJ Bell is urging residents to keep their vehicles off city streets and to park in driveways when possible. He asks that drivers park on B Avenue and 2nd Street to keep the Square clear for plowing.
