WACO School District has begun their search for a temporary superintendent. Conversations on the future of the superintendent sharing agreement with Winfield-Mt Union began in October.

According to WACO School Board President, Tim Graber, they decided that, due to the expiration of a Department of Education program that offered incentives for districts to share employees, they would look for a new superintendent to serve from 6 to 24 months to replace current superintendent Pat Coen.

He adds they’ve begun advertising for the position, and says they’d like to find a replacement by the end of January.
