The Washington Demon wrestling team faces off against Keokuk tonight in a conference dual.

Washington is undefeated in duals this year, and 1-0 in the conference after beating Fairfield last week.

Demon head coach Brent Van Weelden said tonight will be a longer night with how many kids will wrestle on both sides, but that it will be a good night for both programs.

“Keokuk has always had a good program they have a lot of kids out, but as far as their varsity is concerned, they might be a little down this year compared to the past, that doesn’t mean they’re not still tough,” Van Weelden said. “Ultimately there are a lot of matches that you could flip a coin and say who’s going to win this, who isn’t going to win this, and it’s going to be really important that those matches that come down to one or two points that we win.”

Washington and Keokuk start with the first match tonight at 6:30 at Washington.
