The Washington Demons girl’s basketball team will face Ft. Madison tonight to finish up the conference games in the first half of the schedule.

They are led by Rachel Steffensmeier with 51 points, and Caitlynn Hotkamp with 45 rebounds.

Demon head coach Phil Long said his team has to use their speed in order to win.

“It’s that tempo thing again, and in the third quarter against West Branch once I get those kids encouraged to push that ball ahead and attack and force the defense to leave their defensive positions, we can wear you out pretty fast and score in bunches,” Long said.”
