With big changes caused by the 2012 Mental Health & Disability Services Redesign, a meeting is being held to start a dialogue on what those changes mean. At the meeting, being held at the Washington Public Library tomorrow morning from 10 to 11:30, a short presentation will precede an open discussion on how this will impact people with disabilities. The 2012 senate file that changed funding and management of Iowa’s mental health and disability services system, shifting more responsibility to the state and away from counties, also created regions of counties. Washington County is a member of the region that includes Des Moines, Henry, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa and Van Buren Counties.
