For the most part, the Washington Parks department will have a status quo budget for next year. But Park Superintendent Tim Widmer told the Washington City Council on Wednesday that among the exceptions are some maintenance work on some playground equipment and the city pool water slide.

But other work that Widmer says is required by law will get some grant money to make happen.  This spring, the city pool will have a new lift to assist handicapped people use the pool. A Washington County Riverboat Foundation grant will fund that equipment.
