The Washington Demon girl’s basketball team will play at Mt. Pleasant tonight for an away game right out of the break.

Washington is 8-2 and is shooting 34 percent from the floor and 54 percent from the free throw line.

Their leading scorer is Stephanie Fishback with 78 points, and they will be without Johannah Vittetoe, their leading rebounder tonight as she suffered a concussion over the break and will be out for a possible 10 days.

Mt. Pleasant is 5-3 and is shooting 44.5 percent from the field and 56.3 percent from the free throw line.

They are lead by Taryne Shull with 92 points and Kelsi Phipps with 81 points.

Demon head coach Phil Long said he liked what his offense did over break, and if they can do that tonight he likes his team’s chances.

“We just need to get off to a good start, we started to shoot the ball better and we had a really good scrimmage against WMU during Christmas break and we just shot it extremely well, and we’ve said it all year long, that once we get our offensive end of the game going to match our defensive game we’d be tough out,” Long said.

This game will be played in Mt. Pleasant with tip-off at 8 P.M.
