After a little more tweaking by professional designers, the Washington Community School District administration says that they think the latest version of a new school logo is in its final form.
The last changes mostly involved rounding out sharp corners in the ‘W,’ and the facial features of the demon-head in side profile. The initial design was made by Washington High School Senior Sammy Ellingson. Earlier this month, her creation was voted the popular choice of district students in High School and Middle School.
The logo will appear on shirts, sports jerseys, apparel, and used in other ways. School Superintendent Mike Jorgenson started a logo contest in the fall after a previous logo was found to closely resemble a university logo. [find a picture of the new logo at KCII radio dot com]
