The Mid-Prairie boy’s basketball team will host Clear Creek Amana tonight, after a last second disappointing loss to Wilton earlier this week.

Mid-Prairie is 5-3 and is shooting 39 percent from the field and 55 percent from the free throw line, scoring 55 points per game.

Dayton Hall is their leading scorer with 83, but the Golden Hawks have four players over 65 points, and five with 55 or more.

The Clippers are 2-7 and shooting 42 percent from the field and 64 percent from the free throw line, while scoring 49.5 points per game.

They are led by Josh Martinac with 141 points on the year.

Golden-Hawk head coach Chris Kern said after Wilton his team just needs to convert on their shots to get the win.

“The big difference [Tuesday] is we hit some of those shots, and we’re not trailing by four with 30 seconds left, and I think going into Clear Creek, they’re a quality team, and we can’t overlook them going into West Branch,” Kern said.
