Golden-Hawks Go 3-2 at Center Point- Urbana

Mid-Prairie wrestled five duals at Center Point- Urbana this weekend and came out 3-2.

The first match against CPU Mid-Prairie lost 45-36, but still got pins from Miguel Sanchez at 152, Noaroth Peterschmidt at 195, Ben Firodalise at 285. Josh Murphy at 113, and Kendall Bontrager at 138.

Looking for some redemption Mid-Prairie came out and won the next three matches, first beating Oelwin 41-34, with pins from Bontrager at 138, Jacob Adrian at 145, Nearoth Peterschmidt at 195 and Fiordalise at 220. The Golden-Hawks got major decisions from Phirom Peterschmidt at 182, and Cameron Tolander at 160.

Next up for Mid-Prairie was New London who Mid-Prairie beat 57-24. Bontrager got a t pin at 138, Sanchez got a pin at 152, Eesaa Baylor got a pin at 170, Nearoth Peterschmidt got a pin at 195, Murphy got a pin at 113 and Jayse Horning got a pin at 126.

The final win for the Golden Hawks was against Clayton Ridge which they won 66-12. The Golden Hawks won and pinned at every weight class that was wrestled, but got pinned at 120, their only loss to Clayton Ridge.

Finally the final match against Solon went in the Spartans favor 46-30.

Ryan Errthum got a quick pin at 106 to start off, but Mid-Prairie had to wait until 145 for Jacob Adrian to pin to get their next win. Sanchez got a pin at 152, Baylor got a pin at 170 and Phirom Peterschmidt got a pin at 182.

Mid-Prairie wrestles next at Vinton-Shellsburg on Tuesday.
